These images are from the Blue Mountain Observatory. Located on Lake Murray in Central South Carolina, the skies are still dark and filled with wonder. There is a second location in the mountains of SC off Scenic Highway 11 on Fiddler's Cove lake. This is an extremely dark site bordered on the West by the Appalachian Mountain Chain.
